Choppers - Movie Review

In a Dublin pub a sleeping old man and his restless teeth become the focus of attention and a bet, but of course not all is as it seems.

Choppers is a 11 minute short, made by Squint Productions in 1999. The film was funded through the Filmbase and RTE award scheme. Choppers was written and directed by Paul Farren and produced by Eoin Holmes. Paul Farren's other films include the shorts Saturday, and Pandora which both can be found here.

Choppers Trivia - Did You Know?

Prior to the 1960s and the arrival of supermarket and grocery chains in the country; Irish pubs usually operated as a 'Spirit grocery', combining the running of pub with a grocery, hardware or other ancillary business on the same premises, in some cases, publicans also acted as undertakers, and this unusual combination is still common today in the Republic of Ireland.
